Obituary for Anne Anthony Dorman
Anne Anthony Dorman passed away June 22, 2018 at the age of 67. A resident of Inlet Beach, Fla. she was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Adelaide Dorman; two sisters, Rita Adams and Portia Ray; and a niece Laura Leigh Gordon.
Ms. Dorman is survived by two nieces, Angela (David) Ellis of Cumming, Ga. and Meg (Brad) Ramey of Suwanee, GA. Surviving great nieces and great nephew, who lovingly named her “ANNIE PANNIE” are Meganne Ellis of Atlanta, Ga., Emily Kay Ellis of Cumming, Ga., Ali and Maddie Ramey of Suwanee, Ga., and Flint Helms of Cobb, Ga.; and a lifelong friend Gwen Creswell of Inlet Beach, Fla.
A native of Cordele, Ga., Ms. Dorman was a graduate of South Georgia Tech in Americus, Ga. She retired from a long career at the James Earl Carter Library at Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga. Anne enjoyed decorating, flowers, and keeping in touch with her Georgia friends and Forever BFF’s on social media. For the last several years she had fun getting her beach home decorated just right. She enjoyed beach life and all it had to offer at Inlet Beach, Fla.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to in memory of Anne Dorman to the The Chapel at Seaside, PO Box 4936, Santa Rosa Beach, FL, 32459 or www.thechapelatseaside.com.
Visitation will be held at Hughes & Wright Funeral Home Chapel, Cordele, Ga. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at two p.m. and services will follow at 3 p.m.
