The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sara Ingram can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

If I had stayed in Cordele to graduate at Crisp Academy, Sara Ingram would have been my STAR teacher, but I went off to boarding school and couldn't be the STAR student! I'm not sure if anyone ever named her STAR teacher, but she was mine! She knew my understanding of math and let me do things and move further ahead with my talents than I would have been able to do otherwise in such a quaint setting. When I was in my mid 20's, I had a little too much champagne at a weeding reception and asked her how I ranked among all her students. She said she had 3 that stood out: her son Mark, Mark's classmate, Chip, and me. That response touched me deeply and is one I will never forget. Cheers to Mrs. Ingram! My thoughts and prayers are with her children and extended family. Your mother was one of the most intelligent people ever in Cordele. Thanks be to God for Sara M Ingram!
