Condolence: Mrs. Shaffer was a true lady. She taught me in High school 80-82. She taught so much more than English and French languages; she taught how to appreciate those languages as well. She taught respect, kindness and love. In 2011 our son received the Harold Shaffer Scholarship and she was so delighted to know that one of her former students child received it. She will be missed but no doubt she is in a better place and with the one she loved so dearly.

Condolence: My deepest condolences to the family. Mrs. Shaffer was my homeroom, English and French teacher at Crisp County High School 1980-81. She was a great lady and a wonderful teacher. God bless you.

Condolence: Shirley was one of the sweetest people I've ever known. Losing her Harold was the greatest loss of her life; but she put one foot in front of the other, and slowly adjusted to life without him on this earth. It was hard to see her failing so rapidly especially these last months but easy to say "Thank you Lord, for taking her home." No more suffering, enjoying all that comes from truly being at her eternal home!
