Funeral services for Mickey C. Wright, 86, will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Mickey was born in Cordele, Ga. to Jack Coleman Wright and Mildred Frances Wood Wright. He is preceded in death by his sister, Jackie Boyd. He was the retired operations manager for Crisp County Power after 40 years of service. He also was a retired Master Sergeant with the Georgia National Guard with 21 years of service. He was a member of Morningside Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Wanda W. Wright of Cordele; his son: Michael Wright of Cordele; his daughters: Libby (Darrell) Crenshaw of Americus and Maria Hobbs of Cordele; his brothers: Minor (Carolyn) Wright and Lee (Anita) Wright all of Cordele; his grandchildren: Emily Crenshaw, Kristen Hobbs, Samantha Wright and Shelby Wright.
