Doris Annette "Dot"  Moore
Funeral services for Doris “Dot” Annette Moore, 86, will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, 2018 Rocky Mt. Baptist Church in Turner County. Burial will follow in Zion Hope Cemetery Annex in Crisp County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, June 18, 2018.

Doris died Saturday afternoon, June 16, 2018 at Crisp Regional Hospital. She was born in Worth County, Ga., near Warwick, to Doyle F. Andrews, Sr. and Ruby Bowen Andrews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Foster Moore, and her brother, D. F. Andrews, Jr.

She was a member of Rocky Mt. Baptist Church. She was known for her baking and home cooked meals. She was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing as well. During her working years, she was a supervisor for Manhatten Shirt Company. Her enjoyment of sewing carried over into her home life where she was known as a great seamstress.

She is survived by her children: Hershel Michael (Joyce) Moore of Warwick, Marilyn Ruby (Vic) McCorvey of Clewiston, Fla. and Monica M. (David) Watson of Ashburn, Ga.; her grandchildren: Trina (Donney) Barber, Chad (Lynn) Moore, Maranda (Andrew) Berner, Meredith (Joe) Kane, Clay (Jessica) Watson and Amanda (Eric) Hughes; and 10 great-grandchildren.
