Obituary for Loraine Virginia Sanders (Parker)
Memorial services for Loraine Virginia Sanders , 81, will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the funeral beginning at 2 p.m.
Loraine died Monday evening, June 11, 2018 at Crisp Regional Hospital. She is the daughter of the late David Thomas Parker and the late Susie Goins Parker. She is the widow of Wendell Lee Sanders. She is also preceded by her children: Mitchell Aultman, David Aultman, Barbara Ann Aultman and Brenda Leigh Sanders; and her siblings: Clyde Parker, Myrtle Peavy and Ruth Peavy.
She was a member of Free Life Church of God in Cordele. She loved her church, flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed to fish, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughter: Linda (Jody) Wilkerson of Pitts, Ga.; her brothers: Carl Parker of Americus, Herman Parker of Marshallville, Ga., and Billy Joe Parker of Unadilla; her sisters: Wanda (Wallace) Goodroe of Marshallville, and Barbara Frances of Perry; her best friend, Barbara Joiner; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
