Obituary for Jack Roger Hobbs

Funeral services for Jack Roger Hobbs, 74, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2018 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the funeral home.

Jack died at his residence Tuesday, June 5, 2018. He was born in Cordele to Roy Lee Hobbs and Erlene Martin Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his wife Elette Calhoun Hobbs.. He was a retired truck driver for Lasco. He also started Hobbs Lawn Service which continues today by his son Blake. He was a member of Penia Baptist Church and a member of the National Guard for six years. He also was a coach for the Little League and Ladies Softball.

He is survived by his children: Pride (Clint) Musselwhite, Blake (Jenna) Hobbs and Justin (Kelsey) Hobbs; his brother: Ronnie (Judy) Hobbs; and his grandchildren: Lauren Musselwhite, Jackson Musselwhite, Griffin Musselwhite, Mickensey Hobbs, Madison Hobbs and Ava Elette Hobbs all of Cordele.
