Helen Hickox "Banny"  Williams
Funeral services for Helen “Banny” Hickox Williams, 89, will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Friday, May 18, 2018. Helen passed away Wednesday night, May 16, 2018, at Crisp Regional Hospital.

Helen was born in Waycross, Ga. to Ephraim Joseph Hickox and Annie Selph Hickox. She is the widow of John Henry Williams. She is preceded in death by a son, Fred Williams and infant twin boys and a great-grandson son, William LeMaster.

She was an insurance agent for AFLAC with over thirty years of service. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Family was very important to Helen, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also known for cooking.

She is survived by her daughter: Barbara (John) Sherman of Greensboro, Ga.; her daughter-in-law: Patricia Williams of Big Canoe, Ga.; her brothers: J. E. (Carolyn) Hickox of Douglasville, Ga. and John (Lois) Hickox of Blakely, Ga.; her grandchildren: Teka (Jeff) Long of Atlanta, Wendy (Bob) LeMaster of Cordele, Farrah Williams and Peter Orvetti both of Washington DC and Jonathan (Mary) Williams of Portland, Ore.; and her great-grandchildren: Tyler Long, Ayden Long, Ansley LeMaster, Miles Orvetti, Porter Orvetti, Jackson Williams and Beau Williams.
