Obituary for Merlene B. Clark

Merlene B.  Clark
Merlene B. Clark, 77, died at her residence early Tuesday morning, Feb. 13, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Feb. 16, 2018 at Northern Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery.

Merlene was born at Double Run, Ga. to William Grady Brown and Alma Mae Calhoun Brown. She was the widow of Buford Melvin Clark. She was a faithful member of Northern Heights Baptist Church as long as her health permitted and a homemaker.

She is survived by her children: Leisa Key of Cairo, Ga., and her husband Joel, and Allen Clark of Plant City, Fla., and his wife Rose; her brother: James Brown of Monticello, Ga., and his wife Margie; her grandchildren: Matthew Clark, Suzanne Clark, Hannah Clark, Kayin Clark, Koehn Clark and Haley Watson.

The family wishes to acknowledge the loving and tender care she received from her caregivers. Bertha Lucas and Ilene Payne were angels while attending to Merlene’s needs.
