Obituary for John Sebron Richards Sr.

CORDELE – Graveside services for John Sebron Richards, Sr. will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at Hickory Springs Cemetery in Romeo, Fl.

Mr. Richards passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital. He was a native of Two Egg, Fla. and the son to the late Dovis Leamon Richards and the late Sarah Bell Weeks Richards. Mr. Richards was predeceased by his wife, Sarah Vivian Griner Richards, and two sisters, Merl Walker and Bessie Markham. He was a retired supervisor for the Florida Department of Transportation. He was also a Veteran of the United States Army and a member of the Friendship Masonic Lodge 53 of Fellowship, Fl.

He is survived by his sons: John S. Richards, Jr. of Cordele, Ga., Dale Busbin and his wife Sandy of Arabi, Ga. and Dennis Busbin and his wife Claudia of Fayetteville, N.C.; granddaughters: Jennifer Ross, Denise Locklear and Sarah Busbin; great-grandchildren: Laine Ross and Luke Locklear; seven nieces and one nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Masonic Home of Florida, 3201 1st Street NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33704.
