Memorial services for Frankie Lamar Johnson, 75, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Mr. Johnson died Monday, September 11, 2017 at Crisp Regional Nursing and Rehab.

Mr. Johnson was a native of Cordele, Ga. and the son of the late Reuben Waylon Johnson and the late Janie Gleaton Johnson. He was a mechanic and truck driver for Comcar. He was a member of Acorn Pond Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing and farming. Mr. Johnson also did Evangelistic Truck ministry and was the former pastor of Faith Baptist Church. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a brother James Waylon Johnson, a sister Hazel Johnson Mouser and grandchildren Zed Bodge, Jessica Jolene Bodge and son-in-law Robert P. Bodge.

He is survived by his wife: Sandra Gail Johnson of Cordele, Ga.; son: Jonathan Clayton Johnson of Reliance, TN. a daughter: Lena Frankie Johnson Bodge of Hawkinsville, Ga., a sister: Mary J. Murphy of Pasadena, TX., step-children: Veronica Nunn and her husband Larry of Crawfordville, Ga., Jason Daniel Lang and Crystal Gail Burke; great-grandchildren: Eden Celest Bodge, Joseph Medley and Cheyenne Medley; brother-in-law: Jody Dupree and his wife Debbie of Americus, Ga.; several nieces and nephews; and a loving companion, Little Lady, a long-haired Chihuahua.
