NEWNAN — Funeral services for William A. “Bill” Fraser will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 3, 2017 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017.

Bill was born in Vienna to the late Charlie Edward Fraser and the late Ila V. Cantrell Fraser. He retired from Harris Press and Shear as a master machinist. He was a member of Third Street Baptist Church. Bill leaves a legacy of love for his family, especially his grandchildren and fishing Lake Blackshear.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Doris Fitzgerald Fraser of Cordele; his children: Ray (Angie) Houston of Dublin, Patricia (Richard) Payne of Warwick, Ga., Brenda (Mark) Mitchell of Newnan, Ga. , Darlene (Jack) Zehren of Santa Barbara, Calf.; Donna (Pat) McKee of Newnan, Treser (Johnny) Purvis of Waco, Tex., his sister: Patsy (Jack) Etheridge of Statesboro, Ga., Louise (Bithon) Pilkerton of Hawkinsville and Brenda Potter, of Cordele; his grandchildren: Sheila Colston (Paul) Meshanko, Holly Mitchell, Kasey (Jamie) Colston, Rob (Cindy) Houston, Jessica McKee, Patrick McKee, Charloette (JonFord) Kelly, Dalton (Brittani) Houston, Jonathan (Salma) Purvis, Crystal (Michael) Brannon, Christy (Eric)Bozeman and Kenny (Mary) Purvis; 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
