Pauline Brown Powers, 85, died Saturday, July 22, 2017, at the Heart of Georgia Hospice in Perry Georgia. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday, July 24, 2017, at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Mrs. Powers was the daughter of the late M.C. and Annie Mae Sweat Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Powers, her son Rev. Danny Powers, her siblings: Maxine Taylor, Josephine Holt and Harold Sweat; and an infant daughter. She was a native of Pierce County.

She was an active member of Pleasant View Baptist where she was faithful in her attendance in Sunday School, WMU and church activities. She and her late husband, Paul, ran Powers Grocery in their community for several years. She was a homemaker and caretaker for many of her family members.

She is survived by her daughter: Judy P. Daniels, of Vienna; her daughter-in-law Stephanie Powers, Cordele; her brother Clarence Brown, Cordele; her three grandchildren: Reid Rawlins, Becky P. (John) Crowe and Andy (Leslie) Powers; her five great grandchildren: Cade Cooper, Weston Crowe, Clara Lee Rawlins, Ava Powers and Christian “Bud” Powers.

The family would like to thank Summerhill Nursing Home, for their care over the past year and a half, as well as Heart of Georgia Hospice for the care they offered.
