Obituary for James Patrick "Pat" Teague

James Patrick "Pat"  Teague
James Patrick “Pat” Teague, 75, died Friday morning, June 9, 2017 at Regency Hospital in Macon, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Zion Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m.

Pat, the son of the late James Dub “J.D.” Teague and the late Lola Dowis Teague, was a native of Milledgeville, Ga. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Simpkins, and his son-in-law, Brad Thorson.

He was an active member of the Antioch Baptist Church. He served as a Deacon, attended the Friendship Sunday School Class and was a member of the choir. He was also involved with mission work with the Houston Baptist Builders. He enjoyed passing time with his woodworking and had taught clogging for over 25 years. He had served in the Georgia National Guard and attended Georgia Military College.

Pat is survived by his wife of 36 years: Ann Teague of Cordele; his daughters: Sandy (Ben) Fralick of Flowery Branch, Ga., Stacey Thorsen of Arabi, Ga. and her fiancé Edward Greene and Shari (Jim) Dean of Cordele; his step-sons: Jeff (Cindy) McVeigh and Chris McVeigh all of Cordele; his son-in-law: Jeff Simpkins of Leesburg, Ga.; his sisters: Faye (Gus) Johnson of Macon, Hannah (Carwell) Thompson of Baldwin, Ga. and Mary (Cliff) Royal of Elko, Ga.; 11 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
