CORDELE — Robert Dwain Cape, 71, died Sunday morning, May 7, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital. He was the son of the late Arthur Lee Cape and the late Sue Wade Cape. He was a retired maintenance worker for Southeast Frozen Food. Robert served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Robert is survived by his wife: Nita Cape of Cordele; his children: Jesse (Trudy) Cape of Milledgeville and April (Mike) Coker of Thomasville; his sister Betty Lee Duffie of Naples, Fla.; three grandchildren; and the mother of Jesse, Judy Cape.

While there was no traditional service held, Robert's family and closest friends are actively planning a memorial, details will be announced accordingly.

The family of Robert Cape would like to thank everyone for all of the calls, prayers, food, and support during this time.
