ALBANY — Janie L. Dorminey, 70, died Thursday morning, May 4, 2017 at Willson Hospice House. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2017 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Vienna City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Janie was born in Vienna, Ga. to the late James Harold Summers, Sr. and late Dovie Lee Watson. She is preceded in death by a brother, James Harold “Bubber” Summers, Jr., and her son-in-law, Jeff Butterworth. She was retired from Lasco and cherished each grandchild and the time spent with them.

Surviving Janie is her husband: Joseph Franklin Dorminey of Cordele; her son: Joseph Harold Dorminey of Leesburg; her daughters: Rhonda Leigh (Kenny) Holt and Tracey Lynn Butterworth all of Cordele; her sisters: Wanda (Jake) Clements, Connie (Wayne) Coleman and Tonie Key all of Cordele; her grandchildren: Heather Holt, Jensen Holt, Nicholas Butterworth, Ryan Holt, Cory Butterworth, and Connor Butterworth; her great-grandchildren: Josie Holt and Rylee Gable; and several nieces and nephews.
