Funeral services for Bennie Dwayne “Peewee” Simpson, 74, will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017, in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Seville Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2 p.m.

“Peewee” died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Crisp Regional Hospital. He was born in Crisp County to Hubert James Simpson and Deltha Beatrice Barefoot Simpson. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a member of the Hatley Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by two sisters: Annette Powell and Beverly Ann Simpson.

Surviving “Peewee” are his sister: Cheryl S. Conner of Cordele; his nieces: Diane (Dave) Gandy and Pam (Jonathan) Clements all of Cordele; and his great nieces and nephews: Anna Powell, Lee Powell, Jason Powell, Lauren Clements and Allyssa Clements.
