Billy Franklin Tyson, age 79, died Friday, August 5, 2016. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Sunnyside Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hughes & Wright Funeral Home.

Mr. Tyson was born November 6, 1936 in Cordele, Ga. to Gus and Maggie (Oglesby) Tyson. He grew up in Cordele and enlisted in the United States Navy after high school. After the military Billy graduated from Georgia Southwestern College with his bachelor’s degree. He married the love of his live Eudora (Stripling) and they were happily married for 52 years. Billy taught at the Vo-Tech in Albany and later moved to Oklahoma where he was an instructor at the FAA center. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on computers, but his love in life was that for his wife, daughters and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Katrina.

Billy is survived by his wife Eudora, two daughters; Bettina Lowry and husband Frank and Adrienne Riesenbeck and husband Thad, as well as five grandchildren; Blake Lowry, Kyler Riesenbeck, Savanna DeRosa, Conner Riesenbeck and Brett Lowry and one sister Lila Grace Beck.
