Obituary for Sara Martin Carter
CORDELE — Graveside services for Sara Martin Carter will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2020 at Sunnyside Cemetery. Mrs. Carter passed away Dec. 14, 2020 at home with her family.
Mrs. Carter was born in Cordele, Ga. to James Thomas and Lenoir Summerour Martin. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Thaddius Carter, and her son, Tom Carter. She was a homemaker, member of Cordele First United Methodist Church and retired bookkeeper for Judy’s Small World.
She is survived by her children: Thad Carter and his wife Ann, Jay Carter, and Judy Crane and her husband Ricky all of Cordele; and eight grandchildren.
