Obituary for Millie Dianne Hayes Eyler

CORDELE — Memorial services for Millie Dianne Hayes Eyler, 71, will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. The family will begin receiving friends and extended family at 3 p.m.

Millie was born in Pelham, Ga. to the late Claude Lee Hayes and Ada Carolyn Taylor Hayes. She died early Monday, Oct. 21, 2019 at her residence in Cordele, Ga. surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Conley.

Millie is survived by her daughters: Lisa Phelps Mayo and her husband Bryant of LaGrange, Ga. and Julie Phelps Littleton of Moultrie Ga.; her brothers: Lee “Buddy” Hayes and his wife Linda of Thomasville, Ga., Darrell Hayes and his wife Suzie of Franklin, Tenn., Keith Hayes and his wife Yvonne of Moultrie, Ga,; her sisters: Jeanette Hannon and her husband Miles of Panama City Beach, Fla., Janice Glausier and her husband Jimmy of Albany, Ga., Margaret Holden and her husband Bob of Whigham, Ga., Sheree Spriggle and her husband Mark of Franklin, Tenn.; her four grandchildren: McKenzie Ray, Jace Littleton, Ben Mayo and Matthew Mayo; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Millie was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was a wonderful cook, fun loving, charismatic. had a terrific laugh and a beautiful smile. She enjoyed music, interior decorating, entertaining others, spending time with her family, and living life to the fullest. Millie had a wonderful spirit and a nurturing soul. The joyful memories she leaves behind will be cherished by all that knew her. Millie will be greatly missed.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Millie’s memory to The Children’s Miracle Network, The Make a Wish Foundation, or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
