CORDELE – Michael E. Underwood, 53, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021, at his residence. A memorial service will be held his residence at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021.

Mr. Underwood was born in Sweetwater, Tenn. He was a self-employed automotive mechanic and a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife: Donna Underwood of Cordele; his mother: Carolyn (Ricky) Mills of Tenn.; his father: Jerry (Sarah) Underwood of Cordele; his children: Christopher (Tabby) Underwood of Macon, Candace Gladney and Justin Underwood both of Cordele, and Van Hodges of Vienna; his siblings: Trina (Goat) Layfield of Vienna, Loretta (Jack) Russell and Sherrie Hurley (Rendall Thorton) all of Tenn.; Diane Underwood (John Wilder) of Cordele, and Robert (Amanda) Underwood of N. C.; his grandchildren: Christopher Jr., Harlee-Anne, Michaela, Bentlee, Colton, Kayla, Madison, Travis Jr., Abbie, and Aleigha; several nieces and nephews; and several-great nieces and great-nephews.
