CORDELE – Mary Painter Amerson, 61, passed away Monday, March 29, 2021 at Crisp Regional Hospital. Services will be held at a later date.
She was born in Auburn, N.Y. to the later Merton Ralph and Betty Jean Gilfus Painter. Mary was a food service hospitably manager for different companies, most recently for Subway. She attended Blessing Meadows Ministry. She was a member of PBL at South Georgia Tech in Cordele.
She is survived by her husband: David Amerson of Cordele; her sons: Michael (Rebecca) Mann, Willie Mann and Mac Amerson all of Cordele; her daughters: Elizabeth (Jonathan) Holt of Seville and Mandy Amerson of Tifton; her sisters: Lisa Tyler (Rodney Purdue) of Warwick, Angie Painter of Cordele and Eileen Smith of St. Augustine, Fla.; and her grandchildren: Michael Mann, Jr., Lexi Holt, Lucas Holt, Heather Melton, George Melton and Ana Amerson.
