Obituary for John Thomas Thompson
CORDELE - Tommy Thompson, 81, passed away Wednesday afternoon, March. 3, 2021, at Crisp Regional Hospital. Arrangements will be held at a later date.
Mr. Thompson was born in Cordele, Ga. to the late John B. Thompson and the late Corrine Watson Thompson. He was manufacturing supervisor at Cana Incorporated of Americus, Ga.
He is survived by his wife: Beth Thompson of Cordele Ga.; a son: John L. Thompson and his wife Rhonda of Cordele, Ga.; daughters: Maryhelen Buffington and her husband Edward of Illinois and Jo Bloodworth and her husband John of Cordele, Ga.; grandchildren: Savannah Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Megan Bloodworth and Camilla Bloodworth.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to The Crisp County Softball Booster Club, 2402 Frontage Road Cordele Ga. 31015.
The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the home of Gail Nesbitt, 714 East 23rd Avenue, on Thursday, March 4, 2021 and on Friday, March 5, 2021. The family will also be receiving friends from 11 a.m. until noon, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the funeral home.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, seating is limited, masks are required, social distancing should be maintained.
