Obituary for James Barfield
PITTS – James Ferrell Barfield, 77, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Crisp Regional Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Union Baptist Church.
Mr. Barfield was born in Cordele, Ga. to the late Charlie Bee and Virgie Lee Massey Barfield. He is preceded in death by his sisters: Joyce Glisson, Josie Mae Nations, and Shirley Ann Wilkes.
He was employed as a truck driver with Crete Trucking. He also served his country as a member of the national guard. Mr. Barfield was a member of Hatley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife: Elizabeth Harden Barfield of Pitts, Ga.; his children: David Barfield and his wife Stacy of Vienna Ga., Sheila Barfield of Pitts Ga., and Robin Kimbrel and her husband Danny of Cordele Ga.; his grandchildren: Daniel Kimbrel and his wife Whitney, Jared Kimbrel and Bailey Barfield; his great-grandchildren: Aubry Kimbrel and Paisley Kimbrel; several nieces and nephews; and his Grand Puppy Dog: Windham.
