Obituary for James Winifred Sirmons Sr.
CORDELE – Graveside services for James Winifred Sirmons, Sr., 84, will be held in Sunnyside Cemetery at 11 a.m., Monday, April 29, 2019. Rev. Larry Wilbanks will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
Mr. Sirmons passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. He was born in Cordele, Ga. to the late Johnnie N. Sirmons and the late Vera Sargent Sirmons. He was a self-employed farmer and was a member of Penia Baptist Church. He was a director at Crisp County Farm Bureau. He served on the Crisp County Board of Elections, and was also a Chairperson for the ASCS Board. He also served as a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife: Wynette Sirmons of Cordele; his son:
Jimmy (Paul Cruz) Sirmons of New York; his daughter: Karen Stewart of Cobb, Ga.; his grandchildren: Laura (Clint) Jones, Drew (Stephanie) Stewart, Corey Stewart, and two great-grandchildren.
