WARWICK — Glenn Smith, 80, of Warwick, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020, at Crisp Regional Hospital. Services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020, at Lake Blackshear Baptist Church. In accordance with Lake Blackshear Baptist Church’s COVID-19 regulations, face masks or face coverings are required and seating will meet social distancing requirements Burial will follow at the Warwick United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Smith was born in Finleyson, Ga. to Glenn Lamar Smith, Sr. and Clarice Rhea Smith. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Meeks and Helen Garrison.
He was a member of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church, which he helped build. He was a former First Responder for Worth County and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. He loved his family, especially all of his grands. He serviced his country admirably in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife: Earline Smith of Warwick; his children: Shaun Smith and his wife Karen of Vienna and Tammie Bennett and her husband David of Worth County; his siblings: Roger Smith and his wife Joy of Bonaire, Ga. and Anita Weaver of Forsyth, Ga.; his grandchildren: Tiffany Bennett and her husband Wade, Kayla Slater, Ashlie Gantt and her husband Brad, Derrick Smith and his wife Carrilee; and his great-grandchildren: Drew Bennett, Mahaylah Slater, Joey Bennett, Adalynn Gantt, Lila Smith, Landon Smith, and Rhett Smith.
