Obituary

CORDELE — Graveside funeral services for Fanny Jo Gladney, 90, will be held Friday, November 6, 2020 at 1 p.m. at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Gladney passed away November 2, 2020 at Phoebe Putney Hospital in Albany, Ga. She was born in Pineview, Ga. to the late Earnest Baskin and the late Maggie Belle Warren Baskin. She is the widow of Alfred Samuel Gladney and is preceded in death by her son Mark Allen Gladney. She was of the Baptist faith and loved yard sales. She was retired from Cordele Uniform.

She is survived by her children: Alfred Samuel (Pam) Gladney, II, Eva Jo (Greer) LaPorte of Cordele, James Larry Gladney of Cordele, Michael Wayne Gladney of Birmingham, Ala., and Gary Lee (Tracy) Gladney of Cordele; her sister: Dorothy Worsham of San Diego, Calf.; her grandchildren: Trina Wheeler, Jessica (Mark) Harper, Sam Gladney, Jeremy (Rachel) Clark, Charlie LaPorte, Elizabeth LaPorte, Racheal (Randy) Black, Kadee (Robert) Allen, Tyler (Stephanie) Gladney, Abby Gladney, Madison Waters, Chris Waters, and; her great-grandchildren: Kimberly Harper, A.J. Harper, Bentley Gladney, Colton Gladney, Zack Clark, Zoey Clark, Brayden Clark, Brynn Clark, Cameron Black, Garrett Black, Logan Allen, Carson Allen, and Dreyton Buffington.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 74 Spruce Lane, Pitts, GA 31072.

Al, Eva Jo, James, Micheal, Gary, and Ms. Dorothy, I’m so sorry for the loss of Ms. Fanny Jo. There are no words that can begin to explain how much she will be missed. Please know that she was loved not only by her family, she was loved by all that knew her. I’ll always remember her kindness for others, and the love she had for her entire family. Gary, Eva jo I'm so very sorry for your loss I loved your mom & our talks she will be greatly missed by all she was a good woman always had a kind word for all I pray that you find peace & comfort in the coming day's and weeks I pray God wraps his loving arms around all of you and gives you strength keeping all in my prayers fly high MS.Fanny jo your job here is done
