PINEVIEW - Dorsey Eldridge “Gus” Hance was born on Feb. 18, 1936, in Huntingtown, Md. to the late Dorsey Hance, and mother Lillian Hance. He passed away on April 24, 2020 in Pineview, Ga. He preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Watson.

After graduating from high school, he joined the U. S. Air Force where he served three years. Upon completion of his tour of duty, he was employed 39 years with Noland Company in Outside Sales. After retiring in May of 1998, he and Bernice moved from Rockville, Md. to a retirement village in Lady Lake, Fla. to be closer to family in Cordele, Georgia, and surrounding areas, until his death.

He is survived by a nephew, Billy Watson (Rhonda), and Robert Watson (Jennifer) all of Boaz, Ala., and several other nieces and nephews in Maryland.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and governmental restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service.
