Obituary for Deputy Tyee Michael Browne

CORDELE – Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyee Michael Browne died early Wednesday morning, July 5, 2023, while on duty. Deputy, son, grandson, loved one, and friend are all titles that describe Deputy Tyee Browne. Hero is the title we bestow upon him today. At 26 years old, this young man faced evil while protecting our community. Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy Tyee Michael Browne’s end of watch of protection over Crisp County was a testament to his unwavering commitment, extraordinary dedication, and stellar service to the community.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 10, 2023, at the Crisp County Middle School Auditorium at the corner of South Pecan St. and East 24th Ave. The family will receive loved ones, CCSO family, and friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Hughes & Wright Funeral Home.

Tyee was born in Tampa, FL to Kristina Browne Conley and the late Marcus Ian Michael Browne. In his high school days, Tyee learned to play the trumpet and French horn. He was an avid soccer player and dog lover and enjoyed showing dogs as well. He was dedicated to serving others as evidenced by his Army National Guard Service. He loved his Crisp County Sheriff’s Office family and cherished their love in return.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Kristina Brown Conley and Tom of Macon; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Jason Vogel and Emily Landrum of Perry, and Jeff Vogel and Raesha of Barnwell, S.C.; his step-brothers; Logan Conley and Conor Conley both of Macon; his maternal grandparents, Kina Mikesell and Joseph of Jackson, GA; his niece Vivian Vogel; his nephew Rylee Vogel; and his fur baby “Jenny.”

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office, 196 GA Hwy 300 South, Cordele, GA 31015.
