Obituary for Betty Mixon Scott
VIENNA — Betty Mixon Scott, 79, passed away Wednesday morning, May 27, 2020, at High Cotton Homes in Vienna, Ga. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic and governmental restrictions, the family will have a private graveside service at Sunnyside Cemetery.
Mrs. Scott was born in Cordele, Ga. to Mildred Musselwhite Mixon and Rupert Harold Mixon. She was an assistant with the State of Georgia at the local Day Treatment Center. She was also a member of the Morningside Baptist Church. At church, she enjoyed being involved with the children of the church through teaching, singing and working with them in general. She also enjoyed horseback riding and participated in horse shows.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Boggs and her husband Kenneth of Atlanta; and many close cousins.
