Obituary for Ann Ruth Hardin (Stripling)

WARWICK – Ansley “Ann” Stripling Hardin, 87, of Warwick passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Fellowship Home at Cordelia Manor. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Warwick United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Hardin was born in Cordele, GA to the late Arthur Monroe and Agnes Westbrook Stripling. She was the widow of Jackie Ray Hardin, Sr. and a member of Warwick First Baptist Church. Mrs. Hardin was retired from the United States Postal Service as a postmaster. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hardin was preceded in death by her siblings Sidney Stripling Cross, Jacqueline Stripling Perry and James Stripling.

Ann loved to work in her yards and doing anything outdoors. She would spend hours walking the family farm looking for arrowheads. She was a wonderful cook and loved cooking for her family. Ann was a devoted and loving grandmother, lovingly known as Nanny.

She is survived by her sons, Ricky (Lisa) Hardin of Cordele, Rusty (Dulce) Hardin of Southlake, Texas and Robby (Joy) Hardin of Dunwoody, GA; a brother-in-law: Thad (Iris) Hardin of Salem, FL; her grandchildren: Ashley (Clint) Goss, Lindsay (Dustin) Land, West (Jon) Gissinger, Hutton Hardin, Peyton Hardin, Jack Hardin and Robby Hardin; and her great-grandchildren: Bennett Goss, Parker Goss, Corbin Goss, Isabel Fernandez, Paxton Fernandez and Vida Land.
