Obituary for John Dewey Thomaston
John Dewey Thomaston, 75, of Cordele died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Crisp Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Red Oak Cemetery in Worth County The family will receive friends Monday, January 14, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home
Mr. Thomaston was a native of Cordele, Ga. and a member of Penia Baptist Church. He was the son of the late John Ed Thomaston and the late Bessie Thelma Coleman Thomaston. Mr. Thomaston was an employee and dear friend of the Watson’s.
He is survived by his sons: Royce Ellerbee of Ashburn, Ga., and David Ellerbee of Jesup, Ga., a daughter: Dianne Dryer of Sylvester, Ga., a sister Wynelle T. (Pat) Ayers of Vienna, Ga., a brother: Wade (Wynelle) Thomaston of Dothan, Al., Grandchildren: Freddy (Kris) Beasley of Cordele, Ga., Hope (Greg) Manley of Poulan, Ga., and Kristy (Buck) Brady of Wigham, Ga., 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren
