Funeral services for Minor Edward Wright, 84, will be in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018. The family will receive friends before the funeral beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery. Mr. Wright died Monday, Nov. 5, 2018 at Crisp Regional Hospital.

He was born in Cordele, Ga. to Jack Coleman Wright and Mildred Frances Wood Wright. He was retired from the Albany Marine Logistics Base and member of Third Street Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by two siblings, Mickey Wright and Jackie Boyd.

He is survived by his wife: Carolyn R. Wright of Cordele; his step-son: Michael (Lori) James of Tifton; his brother: Lee (Anita) Wright of Cordele; his step-grandchildren: Jimmy M. (Martha) James of Blue Springs, Miss., Ashley A. James and William H. James both of Tifton, a sister-in-law Wanda Wright of Cordele and his mother-in-law: Grace Register of Cordele,and several nieces and nephews.
