CORDELE – Funeral services for J. L. “Punch” Bundrick, 89, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Creek Cemetery. The family may be contacted at the home of Terry Lee Cobb, 240 Hurt Drive, Cordele, Ga. Mr. Bundrick passed away Sunday night, Oct. 28, 2018 at his home.

He was born in Cordele, Ga. to Dewey Jackson Bundrick and Dora Lee Perry Bundrick. He is preceded in death by his siblings: D. J. Bundrick, Webster Bundrick, George Bundrick and Agnes Wells.

“Punch” was a member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church. He was a retired mechanic and loved to fish and hunt.

He is survived by his wife: Doris Bundrick of Cordele; his children Alton Joe Bundrick of Summerville, S.C., Kelly (Jimmie) Troxell of Leesburg, Ga. and Terry (David) Cobb of Cordele; his siblings: Eli Bundrick of Blakely, Ga., Daniel Bundrick of Rex, Ga., Edward Bundrick of Lawrenceville, Ga., Nellie Manders Allison of Cordele, Annette Lowry of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Sarah Hobbs of Edison, Ga. and Margaret Martin of Ballground, Ga.; his grandchildren: Michael Troxell, Jennifer (Mike) Council, Christian (Cody) Bundrick, Matthew Cobb, Andrew Bundrick and Leah Cobb; and his great-grandchild: Dakota Daab.
