Funeral services for Twylla Reneè Powell, 50, will be held at noon, Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed or contributions can be made to Sharon Baptist Church.

Twylla was born in Vienna, Ga. She was a homemaker and member of Sharon Baptist Church. She loved and cherished her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband: John “Junior” Powell of Cordele; her children: Clay (Aubrey) Johnson of Cordele and Brittany (James) Pike of Perry, Ga.; her mother: Darrell (Gary) Figge of St. Cloud, Fla.; her father: Floyd (Ethel) Powell of Cordele; her siblings: Tony (Karen) Powell and Tonya (Bo) Guined all of Cordele; her grandchildren: Jackson Johnson, Carlee Bellamy, Tristan Bellamy, Gavin Bellamy, Brantley Bellamy, Faron Pike and Gracelynn Pike; and several nieces and nephews.

Anyone wishing to pay respects prior to the visitation, may do so at the home of her son Clay Johnson, 903 Rose Lane, Cordele, or her sister, Tonya Guined, 361 Fish Hatchery Road, Cordele.
