Obituary for Henry T. Reeves

VIENNA – Mr. Henry T. Reeves, 90, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at his home. A memorial services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home in Cordele, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Born in Leesburg, GA., Mr. Reeves was the son to the late William Oscar Reeves and the late Evelyn Reeves. He was preceded in death by his son Tommy Reeves and Tommy’s mother Irma Dixon Reeves, and one sister Eva Reeves Smith. Mr. Reeves was a member of Lake Blackshear Baptist Church. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad after 45 years of service as a Signal Maintainer.

Mr. Reeves is survived by his wife Dianne Parrish Reeves of Vienna, GA.; his stepsons and their wives Mike and Laura Parrish of St. Simons Island. GA. and Jeff and Lori Parrish of Leesburg, GA.; his brothers and their wives Bill and Mary Reeves and Hilary and Barbara Reeves, all of Macon, GA.; his grandchildren Andrew Parrish, Brian Parrish, Zachary Parrish and Kaitlyn Parrish and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Reflections Hospice of Cordele for the care given to Mr. Reeves in the final months of his life.
