Hughes & Wright Funeral Home, Inc. was designed and built to serve the families in the Crisp and surrounding counties. The funeral home has three visitation rooms with one featuring a military theme in honor of all veterans.

Chapel

The chapel can seat approximately 300 people with a private family room adjoining the chapel. The funeral home has plenty of off-street parking and is located next to Sunnyside Cemetery in Cordele, Georgia.

MERCHANDISE

We offer all types of caskets, vaults, urns and burial clothes. We sell and install all types of memorial designs including granite, marble and bronze.

SERVICES PROVIDED

A funeral represents an opportunity to honor and pay tribute to a life that has been lived. It is also a way of demonstrating the impact that the life has had on family and friends. At Hughes & Wright, we take our commitment to you very seriously. It is our intention to help you commemorate a life lived by helping you plan a funeral that speaks about life.

While offering many new concepts in funeral services, we have also retained the more traditional service. These faith-based services are still the choice of many of the families we serve. But even with the traditional service, the opportunity to personalize the service is still there.

We also provide for the filing of death certificates, Social Security benefits, veteran's benefits, civil service claims, life insurance claims, and notary services.

PERSONALIZED SERVICES

As funeral service evolves into a new millennium, we too are changing. Families are becoming more involved in the funeral service to make it more personal and meaningful. Personalization has become a key word for all of our services.

We offer many ways to personalize the service for your loved one, such as: memorial tables, picture boards, eulogies, individualize music, memorial folders, personalized caskets and urns, and register books.

A wide variety of funeral merchandise, including custom engraving on caskets is available. Permanently capture the essence of a personality with casket engraving by:

- Commemorating the culmination of a lifetime in a beautiful and dignified way
- Honoring a profession, hobby or simply a relationship, such as "Mother"
- Honoring a branch of military service

Selected hardwood and metal caskets offer a Memory Safe drawer. You can use this memory drawer as a unique way to display keepsakes. Or, if you wish, you can use it to secure private family mementos. Either way it is used, it is just another way to personalize a funeral service.

Some of the newest casket designs allow you to select hand painted ceramic and/or bronze corners. These pieces attach to the corners of the casket and then can be presented to the family at the committal service as a keepsake. Cap panels are also an option. These are inserted into the headcap of the casket are available with a number of designs embroidered on them.

We offer the finest stationary products, including the Thomas Kincaid line of register books and acknowledgement cards. We also offer military, religious, and scenic acknowledgement cards.

Memorial folders can also be customized with a photo of your loved one.

We have also personalized funerals by making arrangements on how a loved one was transported to the cemetery. These services have included the use of a fire truck for a deceased fireman and a horsedrawn hearse for a lover of horses and horse trainer.

LIFE INSURANCE

We sell life insurance from newborn up to 100 years of age. We can also help provide protection of financial assets for Medicaid and Medicare assistance before having to place a loved one in a personal care or nursing home.
