Hughes & Wright Funeral Home, Inc. opened on April 12, 1977 with co-owners Charles L. Hughes and A.J. Wright.
Charles L. Hughes moved to Cordele in 1936 and served almost 40 years as a licensed Funeral Director. He passed away in 1996 and is survived by his wife Dell Faircloth Hughes.

He is a graduate of Crisp County High School and a member of the Northern Heights Baptist Church, where he is active serving as purchasing agent, deacon and church organist. He is a licensed funeral director, embalmer and life insurance agent and member of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia. |

He is a graduate of Crisp Academy and the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a member of the Cordele First Baptist Church. Brandon is married to the former Renea Davis of Rochelle. They have a daughter, Reece. He is a member of the Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia and is a licensed embalmer. |

He is a graduate of Crisp County High School and the Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science in Atlanta, Georgia. Jimmy has one child, Lauren. He is a member of the Cordele Lions Club and is a former Cordele City Commissioner. He is married to the former Holly Ramsey of Albany. He currently serves as pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church.
