Jack Hiebert Gill, Sr., 65, died at Crisp Regional Hospital Friday night, Feb. 16, 2018. Carl Gamble will be conducting the service from the graveside at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018 at Eastview City Cemetery in Shellman, Ga. The family will received friends following the service.

Jack was born in Cuthbert to the late Ambrose Julian Gill, Sr. and the late Helen Williams Gill. He was a graduate of Randolph County High School and served four years in the United States Marine Corps. He also graduated with honors from Albany Technical School and was highly recruited. He chose a 38 year career with Albany Communications before retiring in 2014. Jack also enjoyed arrowhead hunting, kayaking, hunting and spending time with his trusty dog, Shelia.

He is survived by his son: Jack H. Gill, Jr. of Cobb; his siblings: Julian (Linda) Gill of Palm Beach, Fla. and Mary (David) Rainwater of Cordele; his grandson: Sailor Gill; and the mother of his son: Carol Gamble.
